A pro-Jonathan group, the Transformation Ambassadors of Nigeria, will on Saturday formally endorse President Goodluck Jonathan and the ruling Peoples Democratic Party for the 2015 general elections.

This was disclosed by the leader of the group, Dr. Udenta Udenta, at a pre-event press conference in Abuja, on Friday.

He also said about 12 million supporters, who are signatories to the TAN register, were expected to grace the occasion, holding at the Eagle Square.

Udenta was however non-committal when asked to confirm whether Jonathan will appear at the event to make a formal declaration as was being speculated.

According to him, TAN is a group of passionate Nigerians, who took it upon themselves to showcase the president's achievements for all to see.

He explained that Saturday's event would be a culmination of its efforts made within the last five to six months.

Udenta said, “We have a figure of 12.2 million Nigerians, who have endorsed the President to continue. They have signed their signatures, with a comprehensive database with their names, states, local governments, ward and telephone numbers.

“Tomorrow, therefore, will be a day that this number of Nigerians from the forest of the South-East, to the arid areas of the North, will endorse this incredible journey by Mr. President, who has not only deconstructed our colonial inheritance and is  reconstructing our future.”
