Ten days from now, Delta State Independent Electoral Commission (DSIEC) will be conducting elections into the 25 local governments in Delta State. DSIEC has assured free and fair elections but the fact remains that some desperate godfathers want their candidates to win at all cost. Come to Isoko South politics, It was a bit difficult to nominate Sir Itiako Ikpokpo(Malik) as Isoko South PDP chairmanship candidate while some disgruntled party leaders wanted to capture power by all means.

Those that initially indicated interest to contest for Isoko South chairmanship position later stepped down for one man that has the political minds of Isoko South politics. Sir Malik has enviably won the minds of Isoko South people in terms of his philanthropic gesture on Isoko flood victims in 2012 and others. Sir Itiako Ikpokpo(Malik) has fully prepared to take Isoko South LGA to next level if elected come October 25th,2014.

Though Malik's nomination was endorsed by Isoko youths that believe on creative change. Having indicated interest to contest for Delta State House of Assembly in 2011 and later stepped down to pursue his business. Little did he know that PDP was putting him on a scale to know if he was ready to learn from his political leaders and elders of Isoko South?

The Uro-Irri born philanthropist always wants to serve his people if given opportunity. Sir Itiako Ikpokpo has told all Isoko people that supported his noble ambition at his early campaign that he was ready to give back to the people if voted into power. His manifestoes are all-embracing and encompassing which invariably convinced Isoko followers that Sir Malik is ready for the job.

PDP chairmanship ticket was almost given to Chief Raphael Okaruefe who is now the Vice-Chairmanship candidate to Sir Malik. Both candidates are from strong political forces that decide the political terrain of Isoko politics. It will be difficult for any Chairmanship candidate from the opposition party to win Sir Malik due his grassroots campaign strategy. Some of the Malik's supporters are Chief Solomon Ogba, Umeh Need Road Members, Media experts and others.. Everybody knows that Sir Malik will not disappoint his supporters if elected. He remains the voice of Isoko South youths.

Again, Hon. Godwin Ogeki, the Isoko-kano based businessman has fully indicated interest to contest for the forth-coming Isoko South LGA under the platform of Labour party. Though, Hon.Ogeki is new in Delta politics but ready to change the political leadership of Isoko South. He has good programmes for his people if voted for come October 25th, Hon.Ogeki will better the lives of Isoko South people. One thing about Hon. Godwin Ogeki is that, he has large followership in Isoko South and as a chartered accountant to the core. His party manifestoes have convinced many Isoko people that he is ready to take the local government to the Promised Land.Hon.Godwin Ogeki supporters are Hon.Edewor, Chief Great Ogboru, the leader of the party and others. He is ready to win Isoko SouthLG come October 25th.

Hon.Igelige Jubilant is from the All Progressives Party (APC) and from Oleh community. He has been in grassroots politics since his youth days. Though, Isoko PDP zoning arrangement could favor Irri clan but Hon. Jubilant believes zoning is not the best for grassroots politics than going to the field to contest. He has large followership with the support of the present serving Delta State House of Assembly member, Chief Benjamin Essien of Ivrogbo-Irri community.

Hon.Egbabor Emmanuel has fully prepared to take Isoko North to the next level with his experience in journalism in Lagos. He has served elders and leaders of Isoko North PDP over the years and that prompted the decision for all aspirants to step down for him. He is a grassroots politician with credibility. He listens to elders of the party before he takes his decision. He once indicated interest to contest for Delta State House of Assembly in 2011 and stepped down for the present member of DTHA, Hon.Time Owhefere of Isoko North. Emmanuel Egbabor has a better chance to win Isoko North LGA because he has no strong opposition unlike in Isoko South. Some of the Isoko North communities have been ravaged with flood over the years, even present and past leadership could not provide accessible drainage system to ease the sufferings of the people.

In his party manifestoes, he promised to establish a radio community and provide social amenities to the people. Hon. Emmanuel Egbabor knows that promise made is promise fulfilled. He is the choice of Isoko North leaders. The like of Hon. Macaulay Ovuozourie, Hon.Leo Ogor and others are behind one man that is ready to serve his people with integrity. All political candidates contesting for Delta LG must learn to embrace peace come October 25th.Politics must not be do or die affairs in Isoko. Voters must vote for credible candidates only.
