It was on page 12 of The Guardian of 29th September 2014 that I came across a picture showing my governor, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi (CON) of Rivers State in the palace of the Paramount Rule of Emohua Kingdom, HRM Eze V.C. B. Okor, Nnenwe Eli Emohua Neriri XII.

Also present was Chief Andrew I. Uchendu, Eze Ochialiri II of Emohua and other chiefs. The occasion was the elevation of my Paramount Ruler to a First Class Chief in Rivers State. WAO! To be sure, I quickly put a thank you text message across to Chief Uchendu and a congratulatory message to Prince Chigozi Okor and HRM. Chief Uchendu replied and thanked me and Prince Okor confirmed that it was true and that the occasion took place on 27th September 2014 at the Royal Palace.

Emohua Kingdom is made up of eight village communities; it is one of the 35 clans that make up the Ikwerre Ethnic Nationality in Rivers State and it is the Headquarters of Emohua Local Government Council.

May I happily thank my governor for elevating the stool of the Paramount Ruler of Emohua to the distinguished position of a First Class traditional ruler in Rivers State. I am glad with these developments for the following reasons: my governor has proved that he is a human being capable of doing what is right and good; that after many years of apparent denial to a deserved position, the Kingdom of Emohua has now been given its rightful position in the comity of traditional kingdoms in Rivers State and that HRM now has the opportunity of offering Emohua's progressive ideas to the Rivers State government through the highest level of traditional platform in the state.

Let me use this opportunity to thank Chief A. I. Uchendu for facilitating this progressive elevation long overdue and keenly desired by my people of Emohua. Eze Ochialiri Emohua meka, Chineke gozii nu rewha Jesus Christ nvu nne we-ayi. Amen.

May I also seize this opportunity to congratulate HRM on this enviable promotion by the Rivers State government. I pray that God will avail you with more requisite wisdom, excellent health and abundant resources to lead Emohua kingdom aright. May I thank HRM for reciprocating the governor's progressive gesture with the traditional chieftaincy title of Ugwugwu Emohua, meaning, the Pride of Emohua. Long live HRM, long live Mgboh Royal House, long live Emohua Kingdom, long live Ikwerre, long live Rivers State and long live a united Federal Republic of Nigeria.
