PDP Inaugurates Yobe Caretaker Committee

SAN FRANCISCO, September 26, (THEWILL) - The Caretaker Committee to run the affairs of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Yobe State has been inaugurated with a charge to unite members of the Party at all levels in the State.

Performing the inauguration at the National Secretariat of the Party in Abuja the National Organising Secretary, Alhaji Abubakar Mustapha, who stood in for the National Chairman, urged members of the Committee to spare no effort in bringing back all aggrieved and estranged members of the Party to ensure an all inclusive participation in the forthcoming congresses

of the Party.
He expressed confidence that a transparent process will see the PDP take control of Yobe State which has been in the hands of the opposition since 1999.

He congratulated members of the Caretaker Committee and charged them to justify the trust the Party has reposed in them by performing their task excellently.

Responding, the Chairman of the Committee, Alhaji Sule Abdulkadir Doguwa, thanked the National Working Committee for finding them worthy of this assignment and pledged on behalf of his members not to betray the trust of the Party.

The Caretaker Committee is chaired by Alhaji Sule Abdulkadir Doguwa. The members include Alhaji Abba Gana Tata, Alhaji Ali Garba Nguru and Dr. (Mrs). Mairo Ahmed Amshi. Others are Engr. Mohammed Buba Jajere, Alhaji Mohammed Shuaibu Gulani and Alhaji Hassan Abba Tasala while Alhaji Ahmed Sani Kaura is the Secretary.

The eight-member Committee was sworn in by Barrister Chinedu Obienu and the ceremony was witnessed by leaders of the Party in Yobe State including the Hon. Minister of Science and Technology, Abdu Bulama and Alhaji Adamu Maina Waziri, member of the Board of Trustees.
