OWERRI NORTH ELDERS, PGs PASS VOTE OF CONFIDENCE ON GOV OKOROCHA, JUDE EJIOGU

Group under the auspices of Owerri North Local Government Elders Council has passed vote of confidence on Governor Rochas Okorocha and his Chief of Staff, Sir Jude Ejiogu for their exemplary leadership in the state.

The elders made this known during their solidarity visit to the office of the Chief of Staff at Government House Owerri.

Spokesman of the group, Chief Leonard Okenwa said that Governor Okorocha and Sir Ejiogu have shown competence in handling power under them stressing that the idea would go a long way to serve as benchmark to politicians struggling to occupy one position or the other in the state.

Continuing, Chief Leonard affirmed that Governor Okorocha's giant strides under three years surpassed what previous administrations in the state realized in 12 years describing it as evidence of good governance. The elders therefore commended the Governor and Sir Ejiogu for making Imolites proud.

On the other hand, Conference of Secretaries/President Generals of Community Government Council in Owerri North LGA have reassured the state government of their unalloyed support in ensuring the realization of the initiative pointing out that the rescue mission administration in Imo State has given rural areas a facelift devoid of what was obtainable prior to its emergence.

Chief Chris Chikwe who spoke on behalf the PGs commended Governor Okorocha's track records so far adding that his achievements in the state have given Imolites the drive to depend on their leaders.

According to the PGs, Governor Okorocha and the Chief of Staff, Sir Ejiogu are shining lights for the Imolites saying that part of their achievements was the peaceful resolution of all forms of Ezeship disputes in various communities of the state.

Addressing the groups, the Chief of Staff and Commissioner for Special Duties, Sir Jude Ejiogu expressed happiness that people like them could appreciate the giant strides of the rescue mission government and appealed to them to sustain the tempo.

He therefore reminded them that Governor Okorocha's vision for the establishment of the Community Government Council was to bring government down to the grass-root and urged them to continue to support the initiative.

Sir Ejiogu, who is the 2014 Best Chief of Staff of the year in the entire country, further advised them to re-double their efforts in ensuring the victory of candidates of the All Progressives Congress in the state and beyond for the continuous sustenance of the party's legacies.
