Nigeria: Officials Quarantine South African Traveller In Lagos Over Ebola

BEVERLY HILLS, September 11, (THEWILL) - A female South African national has been quarantined in Lagos, Nigeria's economic hub after arriving at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport and showing Ebola-like symptoms.

Ms. Maria, who was transiting from Morocco onboard a Royal Air Maroc aircraft was detained and isolated at a Lagos hospital after falling ill inside the transit lounge of the Airport.

Airport sources told THEWILL that the passenger was well when she arrived from Morocco but suddenly became unwell a couple of minutes later.

A statement from the Minister of Health's office said, 'Her case is being investigated'.

Nigeria announced Thursday that it has successfully contained the disease in the country after it discharged its last case following a successful treatment.
