......OSHIOMHOLE: THE BEST PERMUTATION FOR APC AGAINST JONATHAN

By AKINJOBI GBOLAHAN ABIDEMI

All earlier and ongoing rumored permutations ahead of 2015 presidency pointed in favour of Jonathan emergence in 2015.With the south pledging their support for Jonathan, the north wanting power at all cost and the south west mere spectating,it is expedient for APC to play their card well to be a worthy opposition come 2015.

MY POINTS
With Kwankwaso,Lamido,Tambuwal,Marwa etc showing interest in the presidency in other to post a challenge to Jonathan from south, in 2011 its worth knowing that PDP never emerged in any of the northern states and yet he went ahead to win the election, so also in 2015 Jonathan doesnt need the north to win again and if APC should flag a northern presidential candidate it won't change anything.

APC as a political party has enjoyed the support of the South West in recent years but the question is would they support a northerner ahead of Jonathan in 2015? My answer is NO.The South West PDP has endorsed Jonathan for 2015 and with the religion awareness and sentiments and various security threats from the North,i doubt if a northern presidential candidate would be a marketable candidate in the South West.

MY RESOLUTION
Comrade Adams Oshiomhole has been generally applauded for his incisive approach to governance in Edo State, a permutations pitching Oshiomhole as the APC presidential candidate with a Muslim running mate in a fixture that would undoubtedly be a Technical Knock Out for the PDP could the best APC can rely on.

With a popular APC candidate from the South-South, matching the PDP's Jonathan, whatever prospects of the PDP laying claim to the South-South vote would eviscerate. The PDP would be left to struggle in all other zones, probably except the Southeast.

With APC flagging Oshiomhole with a northern running mate, APC is sure of posing a threat to Jonathan, PDP and also seen by Nigerians as a formidable and indomitable opposition.
