'APGA Is Too Big To Be Hijacked By Me'

By Iwuala Emperor

The immediate past nation's Minister of Interior, Capt. Emmanuel Ihenacho has debunked insinuations in some quarters that the newly re-constituted Imo State Working Committee (SWC) of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) is mainly made up of his loyalists.

The former minister made this remark through his media aide, Barr. Emperor Iwuala.

Briefing some journalists at Captain Ihenacho Campaign Organisation (CICO) Office Egbu Road Owerri on the newly inaugurated Executives of APGA in Imo State, Barr. Iwuala among other things said that APGA is a national party that cannot be hijacked by an individual.

' We have read from some print media that the Imo APGA SWC is made up of mainly nominees from Capt. Emmanuel Ihenacho. APGA is too big to be hijacked by one person and our boss cannot subscribe to that kind of political ideology. Members of the present SWC of APGA in Imo State are all men and women of integrity. They were carefully selected by the national leadership of the party on merit. They are well qualified to lead the party well without undue influence and nobody is complaining about them.

'Therefore, our boss is only a member of APGA who is interested in repositioning the party for better performance in future elections. What is more important to him now is how to fully reconcile the Maxi Okwu faction in the party and carry them along in the scheme of things. This our boss feels, will put APGA on one page and help prepare it for better and more successful subsequent political outings...' he summed up.

On the on-coming activities of CICO, the former Chief Press Secretary to the Deputy Governor of Imo State said that the organisation would complete the inauguration of its campaign structures in the state with the inauguration of the structures in Owerri Senatorial Zone before the month runs out.
