Imo To Become World Health Tourist Destination—Madumere Reveals

Imo Deputy Governor, Prince Eze Madumere, yesterday, while receiving a team of medical experts from Global Health Services Network, reiterated Owelle Rochas Okorocha led Government's effort towards turning Imo State into a world medical destination.

Speaking when he received a team of medical team led by Adviser on health to Imo State Governor,Dr. Sylvernus Ameshi and Patricia C. Williams, the founder and President of the organization, Prince Madumere explained the vision of Governor Owelle Rochas Okorocha to bring the best medical practice to Imo State.

Revealing the vision of Governor Okorocha, he said the twenty seven general hospitals being built in twenty seven local government areas of Imo State wwill be categorized into different special areas of medicine with the needed personnel with the expertise knowledge in their different areas of specialization.

He opined that the vision of the Governor is solve the puzzle of where to go for various medical solutions. He expressed gladness over the completion of the diagnostic and renal centre under the partnership with the Israelis Medical outfit , which will soon be open to the public before the end of the year.

He assured the guests of the government from Global Health Services Network that the Governor will be glad to listen to them as they will be given opportunity to showcase what they have in stock in partnership to realize the vision of Governor Owelle Rochas Okorocha.

Earlier in the meeting, the leader of the said Health Organisation commended Imo State Government under Owelle Rochas Okorocha for his giant strides in Imo State especially in the area of security, infrastructure and his vision in medical services.

The group particularly commended Governor Okorocha for choosing to invest in health sector saying that the Imo model of the general hospitals is world class. The group through through their spokesperson, Dr. Okey Nwanyanwu assured Imo Deputy Governor of their poise to bring to bear the best medical practice in Imo if given the opportunity.

Among others in the meeting were, Dr. Ameshi, Special Adviser to the Governor on Health who led the group delegation to the Deputy Governor's lodge, Attorney Anele Nwanyanwu, Joyce Durham, Executive Vice President of the Global Health Services Among others.
