Desperate Politicians Killing The Future Of Nigeria—Madumere

...As He Celebrates Golden Anniversary In Grand Style

By Uche Onwuchekwa

Deputy Governor of Imo State, Prince Eze Madumere while blaming them for a seeming darkness over the future of Nigeria has reiterated the need for a continual positive engagement of youths saying if they are lost the future of Nigeria will be bleak.

Speaking to newsmen recently on his postulations for a better Nigeria, he said the only thing left is to re-orientate the youths as Nigeria State seems to be losing direction on what to do towards securing a better Nigeria at the moment and in the future, which he blamed on desperate politicians that lack vision and leadership qualities.

His words; ' if we fail to put our youths on the right path, we would be making a grave mistake. Every civilized nation has an uncompromising plan for her children. They bother on their education, their welfare, what is being taught them on patriotism and above all what leadership is all about'.

He decried what he described as high level of monetization of conscience where most young people no longer bother on dignity, self worth, hard work, values and heroism occasioned by one's contribution and patriotism through service to father land.

'All we have today is what is in it for me syndrome followed by thuggery, engagement in slander, criminality while other vices have taken the front seat in the polity,' said he. He regretted the actions and inactions of some desperate politicians who have in no little way desecrated the used-to-be-nostalgic era when youths were in competition on who becomes the best in their various chosen professions.
