Appeal for calm after clash between soldiers, BRT drivers
Lagos – The Minister of State for Defence, Senator Musliu Obanikoro, appealed to Lagos residents to remain calm and peaceful in the wake of the bloody clashes between a group of soldiers and BRT bus drivers.
Obanikoro said that he received the news of the situation in Lagos with serious concern
“I am aware that some thugs in the area took advantage of the incident to wreak havoc.
“The military has taken the necessary steps to restore peace in the area and prevent future incidents,” he said.
Soldiers and BRT bus drivers clashed on Ikorodu Road, Lagos, on Friday.
The incident occurred after a BRT bus crushed a soldier who was riding a bike on a BRT lane, according to sources.
