BOKO HARAM ATTACKS NIGERIA ARMY (33 ARMOURED BRIGADE), DAMBOA, BORNO STATE

By The Nigerian Voice -TNV

The ongoing war between the Nigerian fundamentalist group and the outlawed

Boko Haram took a new dimension yesterday in Damboa, Borno State. The Boko Haram

Terrorist group took the battle to the door steps of the Nigeria army barracks in Damboa. Yesterday

afternoon witnessed a dreaded confrontation between the military and the outlawed sect. It was yet another test of the will of the Nigeria army and a confirmation to the sect that the Nigeria army is

ready for them at all times according to our security source. The fatality inflicted on the Boko haram militants in yesterday's battle will send a strong signal to the organization that it is no longer business as usual

. It was however gathered that the military lost about 10 soldiers in the encounter.

It was reliably gathered that a police station was also attacked by the terrorist group, killing about 5 police officers including a Divisional Police Officer (D.P.O). The attack was promptly repelled by the police with good number of Boko Haram fighters killed. A military source who spoke to The Nigerian Voice on condition of anonymity informed us of a new strategy in place to flush the terrorist group with a very strong signal being communicated across to them through yesterday's encounter.

Nigerians are anxiously waiting for the JTF to reasonably deter the terrorist from attacks and destruction of lives and property.
