No nation could ever prosper and reach the pinnacle of greatness without having concrete democratic structures put in place and those saddles with the responsibility of guarding such structures must possess a rare quality of leadership and the capacity and ability to uphold public trust.

It is a fact one cannot dismiss by a whimper that, what the electorate are naturally expecting, is the dividend of democracy cutting across all frontiers of human development with every aspect taken care of.

Since the advent of the present democratic dispensation, a lot of water has passed under the bridge as regard the issue of representation at both chambers of the National Assembly is concerned.

Senators and members of the House of Representatives were basically elected to prove their worth, by fashioning out a blue print that would be of immense benefit to the people of their respective constituencies knowing that credible representation is a responsibility they must not shirk.

Many senators and members of the House of Representatives have taken the gauntlet and proven their mettle in that regard and noticeably came up with series of agenda and creditably sponsored high profile motions that were of immense advantage to the electorate.

If the above postulation is anything to go by the people of Kano North can be proud of having a man whose political acumen as a senator is not in doubt.

Senator Bello Hayatu Gwarzo as everyone knew had carved a niche for himself knowing his calculus very well and what it takes to convince voters that he is in the senate to make laws and come up with major cardinal thrusts that people of Kano North would exploit to their good advantage.

On coming on board as a senator he adroitly chose to make his senatorial district a bastion of politics without bitterness by affecting a clear paradigm shift that would make all stake holders to discern the inescapable fact that the issue of making one to have an indisputable sense of belonging is paramount.

As a unionist whose stewardship as one time state treasurer of the Nigeria Labour Congress in Kano State from the bankers unit (NUBIFIE), the ebullient senator is a known expert in state craft who is fully conversant with the wheeling and dealing of fruitful struggle.

Being in the saddle with no one having the temerity to challenge him in the political battle field, the senator's perpetual hold on to his seat is a testimony to the fact that he is up and doing in upholding the trust bestowed on him.

The senator was also known to be an impartial arbiter in times of intractable political dispute, using his populist appeal to calm some frayed nerves, and is one who had never failed in his mission to engender peace.

No one has ever questioned his score-card as he always showcased what he whole-heartedly believed as the dividend of democracy he had given to the people of his senatorial district.

For him to be understood very well he always give the account of his stewardship blow by blow, with people appreciating what he is doing devoid of allowing primordial considerations to becloud their sense of judgment.

Starting with education, the senator built class rooms' blocks at Junior Secondary School Kanti in Danbatta Local Government area with the classes 100% completed in addition to building similar ones at government Girls Junior Secondary Danbatta.

In Makoda Local Government Area Senator Gwarzo had also built class rooms at government secondary schools Koguna and Government Secondary school Makoda in addition to building similar classes at Government Girls Secondary School Shuwaki and Junior Secondary school Yandadi.

Similar projects were also executed at Tsanyawa, Bichi, Bagwai, Shanono, Gwarzo, Kabo, Rimin Gado Tofa and Dawakin Tofa.

Knowing that his mission on healthcare is explicit, senator Gwarzo had constructed community Halls at Gwarzo, Bichi and Dambatta Local Government Areas and effected the construction of Girls Science College Gwarzo in addition to constructing 42 numbers solar street light completed at Danzabuwa town in Bichi Local Government Girls Secondary School Danbatta.

On solar base water scheme, senator Gwarzo had effected the construction of solar powered bore holes in Gwarzo, Tofa, Bukavu Barracks, Makoda, Kura, and Bichi Local Government Areas.

With the monumental feats senator Gwarzo achieved to his credit doubting the masses have begun to soft pedal on spitting venomous scorn on him as a result of ideological differences with him.

He is undoubtedly a standing pillar to be so much adored and revered knowing that he is not in the senate to warm bench and his score - card would continue to serve as a point of reference to students of history.

This is the crux of the matter.
