Leonard Umunna After 60, Archbishop Or What Next?
Three weeks from now Bishop (Prof) Leonard Nwoma Umunna, the General Overseer and the Presiding Bishop of the Bible Life Church Cathedral (BLCC) International will be marking his 60 birthday bash in a splendid style at Fasasi Street, Ajegunle, Lagos but the many questions are unfolding now, will Leonard Umunna still remains a Bishop after 60 or he takes the Archbishopric position for his advancement on ministerial growth and development.
Professor Leonard Umunna was consecrated as a bishopric position over 14 years ago and remains one of the resolute servants of God without defeat. Bible Life Church which is christened as' Bible Life, a place of destiny recovery as one of the oldest Pentecostal churches in Ajegunle that has produced both diminutive and powerful ministers of God in recent times.
In the recent research carried out by Mindset Media Limited and Mindset Online newspaper on May 5th, 2014 on church pastors that either broke out or left their former head pastors honourably well in Ajegunle indicated that Bible Life Church Cathedral came third position while Christian Pentecostal Mission(CPM) Ajegunle branch took first position followed by Gospel Church of Christ as second position and Godswill Pentecostal Church came fourth and other churches took the rest positions. Most of these Pentecostal churches that came into Ajegunle when the work of God was really dedicated to those that knew their callings to the core. Formations of churches through rebellious pastors were not pronounced then. Most of the pastors that left Bishop Leonard Umunna honourably well are now Rev, Dr, Bishop, Apostle and others.
Those that rebelled against him had come to beseech for exculpation while others continued their malevolence actions which habitually heart-rending their ministries depressingly. Though, Umunna has no grudges against anyone that left his ministry with awful mindsets as ministers of God. Leonard Umunna still maintaining his office as a bishop and waiting for God to decide his fate. Bishop Umunna not only deserves a national merit award but an Archbishop installation.
A minister of God who has been on the pulpit for 51 years and as a man servant for 54 years and now 60 years of age of intimidating credentials. He also runs one of the Bible Academy schools in Nigeria where over 50 pastors are under his tutelage. He has written over 45 books, tapes and tracks and received over 30 national and international awards. Some Bishops who are now Archbishops have not achieved what Bishop Leonard Umunna has done on earth.
Bishop Leonard Umunna has granted over 60 media interviews on print, electronic and online on national and local issues affecting the country with proffering solutions to it. He has one of the best architectural Pentecostal churches and with first class media conference hall in Ajegunle.He is an international chaplain officer and a philanthropist of repute. Leonard Umunna's foundation has also helped to reduce poverty in Ajegunle.
Bishop Umunna has distinguished himself from the crowd and remains a minister of God with a difference. Bible Life Church Cathedral International has over 11 branches across Nigeria and abroad with highly trained pastors under Bishop Umunna. He is a minister of God of many parts, who has produced and acted first class Christian movies and music albums and not tired of the gospel of Christ. After 60, one expects Bishop Umunna to know that he is suitable for an Archbishopric position.
An Archbishop is defined as a Bishop of the highest rank who presides over an Archbishopric of Archdiocese. In a Pentecostal setting, Archbishop oversees the Bishops under his ministry. Umunna belongs to International college of Bishops with distinctive passion for the things of God. In Ajegunle nobody has become an Archbishop in the Pentecostal setting but with the great works of Leonard Umunna, he deserves the position and nothing more.
Bishop Umunna has travelled to many international countries to preach the gospel of Christ with overwhelming miracles and testimonies while many gave their lives to Christ. He has given scholarships to the less privileged ones in the society through his schools. He has a hospital where people are treated freely.
Bishop Umunna is a man of God needed to be applauded for his magnificent works on earth. As an indispensable man of God, he needs a high office after 60 to complete God's assignment in his life. Only time will tell if Leonard Umunna will continue to maintain his Bishopric position in Bible Life Church Cathedral after 60.
