Jonathan Writes Senate, Seeks Extension Of Emergency Rule In Borno, Yobe, Adamawa

SAN FRANCISCO, May 13, (THEWILL) â€' President Goodluck Jonathan has sent a letter to the Senate seeking to extend the State of Emergency in the three north east states of Borno, Adamawa and Yobe.

In the letter which was read on the floor of the Senate on Tuesday morning, the president hinged his request on the daunting prevailing insurgency in the states.
