Why The Blackmail Against Jude Ejiogu Must Fail—Aide

By Ikenna Onuoha CPS To Chief Of Staff

The gang up allegedly being masterminded by some greedy politicians in Owerri zone to smear the glaring image of the Chief of Staff and Commissioner for Special Duties, Sir Jude Ejiogu in the pages of newspapers has been described as an act borne out of envy, malice and wickedness.

Disclosing this to newsmen while reacting to a newspaper publication in the Announcer Express of Friday, April 18th, 2015 edition wherein the duo of Hon. Uche Onyeagocha (SSA on Policy and Strategy) and Hon. Iheukwumere Alaribe (Commissioner for Housing) respectively allegedly accused Sir Ejiogu of masterminding the ripples rocking the harmonization process of the APC congress in Owerri zone.

The Chief Press Secretary to the Chief of Staff, Mr. Ikenna Onuoha maintained that it is inhuman and a game of jealousy for any right thinking person to link Sir Ejiogu with the said crisis whosoever arising from the conduct of the APC congress stressing that those peddling the rumour were culprits in the said misunderstanding.

Mr. Onuoha therefore frowned at the manner people play politics in the state by attacking an innocent person whose primary objective is to assist His Excellency, Owelle Rochas Okorocha in ensuring the realization of the rescue mission programmes and further warned those accusing the Chief of Staff to desist or face the wrath of Owerri youths who are strongly in support of him.

Speaking further, Mr. Onuoha condemned the attitude of Hon Onyeagocha and Alaribe for hiding under the cloak of APC congress to cast aspersion on the hard working Chief of Staff with a view to scoring cheap political relevance and advised them to join Sir Ejiogu in his quest to uplift the well being of the people of Owerri zone instead of back-biting.

On the alleged Guber ambition of Sir Ejiogu, the Press Secretary described it as calculated plans by enemies of the Chief of Staff to cause disunity between him and the Governor adding that the rumour can only be interpreted by the peddlers even as he concluded that his boss never made statement regarding to 2015 governorship election in the state.

He said, 'Sir Jude Ejiogu is busy assisting His Excellency, Owelle Rochas Okorocha on the need to make Imo State a better place to live. Those alleging that he is nursing any ambition in 2015 have seen credibility in him if not, why all the noise?' and appealed to them not to hit up the polity to allow room for opposition.

On the allegation that Sir Ejiogu stopped the on-going Bio-metric data under the Pension Commission to avoid being indicted as former Chairman of Local Government Service Commission, Mr. Onuoha described it as baseless and fabricated concoction to gain public sentiment adding that no sane person would believe that Sir Ejiogu ordered its immediate stoppage since the exercise was in line with Governor Rochas Okorocha's efforts in the eradication of corruption in the state.

He therefore urged those accusing the Chief of Staff unjustly to look for something doing instead of resulting into politics of bitterness and rancour in order to achieve selfish interests pointing out that the achievements of Sir Ejiogu so far are everywhere for public assessment.
