Nigeria: A Nation Under Fire

My heart is bleeding and my eyes shedding inconsolable tears. What is the offence of these Nigerians? When will we stop the blood shed and who will take the lead? It is clear that we cannot depend on our government to defend us. If they could, they would have not that a long time ago.

Innocent people who left their homes in search of daily bread roasted like chickens by some animals who have lost their right to be among the living. I have said it for the umpteenth time that if these sub human species have a problem, let them come out and say it. Attacking innocent people is the wrong way of letting people know your grouse.

It is clear that what we now have is a full blown terrorism, and we must treat these idiots like the terrorist that they are. Unfortunately, this came at a time we are not prepared as a nation or people for this kind of security challenges. If we were, we would have nipped it in the bud a long time ago.

As usual, our people, I mean leaders and every body will start showing us how good they are in constructing condolence messages. After reading out their messages, they tend to all go to sleep until another event of this nature occurs. We must do more than condemn and end this madness!

If your house is on fire, you call for help and seek people to help you. Nigeria must cry out to the world to people to help it end this fire that is ravaging us mercilessly. This is no time to bring up issues of sovereignty and other nonsense. We are losing this battle. May God help us as we seek help and solutions.
