Human Rights Report: Immigration Dead: How To Create Job For The Teaming Population

Minister of Finance, Mrs. Okonjo Iweala said that the best way to compensate those who lost their lives in the Immigration exercise is to create jobs for the youths. This her statement has been made over and over again by several people. She wants to make news by adding her voice.

Government is playing pranks with job creation. To create job is to make the job seeker an employer of labour. Simple. A situation where each NYSC is paid N1 million yearly, but is actually given N240,000 yearly while the rest N760,000 goes into the pocket of Director General, directors, army trainers and all worth not that are working as staff of NYSC. Federal Government sees and knows this, yet they are talking about job creation.

Out of N1 million, give each NYSC N200,000 and at the end of the exercise, give him N800,000 enblock (cash) to start small scale business. By so doing, you have eliminated poverty. One person is carrying N300 - N800 billion at-a-go, among the political class. Yet, we clamour there is no money. That is personal deceit.
