Jonathan appoints Olusola Oke, others to Aviation Board

President Goodluck Jonathan has approved the reconstitution of members and chairmen of governing boards of four agencies in the Federal Ministry of Aviation.


In a press statement signed by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Anyim Pius Anyim said the President’s approved the composition and appointments of chairmen and members of Nigerian Airspace Management Agency, Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority and Nigerian Meteorological Agency.


Abdullahi Waziri Tambuwal is chairman of Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority with Col. Tony Igbanoi, Capt. Sabo Sambo, Chief Frank Edonkumor, Captain Alkali, Alhaji Buba, Chief Emeka Akabueze, Captain Edward Bayo, Engr. Sokie Amakree, Captain Ruma Mohammed and Barrister Bola Odugbasan as members.


The Nigerian Airspace Management Agency has Barrister Olusola Oke as chairman while Mr. C. J. Udeh, Captain Kuti, Chief Okwudili Uzoka, Amb Jerry Ugokwe, Engr. H.Z. Abubakar, Chief Lucky Umoru, Captain Megason, Barrister A. Chukwuma and Group Captain John Yekorogha (Rtd) will serve as members.


The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, has Dr. Dan Kure as Chairman with Onuora Chinwe Leticia, Hon. Halima Hassan Tukur, Ngozi Lavender E., Farouk Gumel, Mr. Amobi Nwokafor, Mr, Clement Adegoke Dosunmu, Chief Iboro Edaba Ige, Alhaji Muneer Bankole, Dr. Al Amin, Mrs. Patricia Ntofon, Captain Shaifi, Barrister Niyi Agbola and Group Captain Henry Unaeze [Rtd] serving as members.


The Nigerian Meteorological Agency has Chief Yomi Akintola as chairman with Capt. Toju Ogisi, Chief Tunde Taiwo, Engr Jim Ogbolu, Mr. Peter Momodu, Mrs Omikunle, Mr. Ralph Ogar, Mrs. Aletche Bimbo, C.C Nwuba and Barrister Tony Odita as members.


Anyim said dates for the formal inauguration of the boards will be announced in due course by the minister of aviation.
