Wedding Reception for Two Stars of Nigerian Finance

Dorchester Hotel, London, 27th July
The Dorchester Hotel in London is the venue for a reception on the 27th of July to celebrate the marriage of Dapo Ladimeji and Funke Feyisitan 2 leading members of the Nigerian finance sector.

Dapo is an expert in international tax and a social activist. He is perhaps best known for his campaign to alert Africa's leaders to the importance of new emerging technologies. That spawned the web Journal African-Century and FOSSFA, the Free Software and Open Source Foundation for Africa, which he co-founded. His social activism has earned him invitations to speak at the World Summit on the Information Society and several UN conferences as well as a request to attend President Obama' first inauguration.


He comes from a prominent Nigerian family. His father, Adepoju Adisa Ladimeji, was Permanent Secretary for Home Affairs of Western Region; then Head of Western Nigeria Development Corporation and his uncle was Samuel Asabia, the first indigenous managing director of First Bank of Nigeria, who became a Federal Permanent Secretary at the age of 27 and Deputy Governor of the Nigerian Central Bank. He is also closely related to the Nobel Prize winning author Wole Soyinka, the pioneer of Afrobeat music Fela Kuti and former President Olusegun Obasanjo.


Funke is a highly accomplished executive in the banking industry, with a track record of building, integrating and transforming businesses. Currently as Chief Operating Officer of FBN Capital, the asset management and investment banking arm of the dominant bank in Nigeria and west Africa, she is responsible for defining the strategy and focus of the new operation across the group, including HR, IT, Finance and all other functions.


She comes from a prominent Nigerian family known as the Royal House of Warriors, with a heritage of Commanders in Chief. Her great grandfather; Ogundipe Alatise, was the Balogun of Egbaland. Her father, Oyejide Raimi Feyisitan, was the Chairman and CEO of Crittal Hope Nigeria; a subsidiary of Norcros PLC in Africa. Her uncle, Olatunbosun Akani Lampejo, was member Board of Directors CFAO France. Her uncle Akintunde Obilade is an internationally established Emeritus Professor of International Law and Diplomacy. And her cousin Adesina Agboluaje is the Nigeria Trade Commissioner for Asia Pacific region.

The celebrations will also include a private viewing of work by the prominent Nigerian artist Yinka Shonibare who will be holding a special private event at the Stephen Friedman Gallery exclusively for wedding guests on Friday the 26th of July.

The reception at the Dorchester will be hosted by Charles Khiran, one of Europe's leading black professional speakers, who will be welcoming guests from leading financial institutions in the UK and Nigeria including top executives such as Ike Chioke of Afrinvest, Mrs Funmilayo Okonweze of Credit Suisse, Kayode Akinkugbe of FBN Capital, Mr Akingbade of Goldman Sachs, Ade Adebiyi of GT Bank, Elizabeth Opia of HSBC, Vizwas Rajhavan of JP Morgan and Kofo Oyeleye of Morgan Stanley plus Pastor Ojeme and Pastor David from the Winners Chapel of Ota Church and Oba Adisa Akindele- King of Abeokuta.
