Borno to partner with chinese construction giant

The Borno State Government is going into technical partnership with China Construction 18th Bureau Group Limited for the trsiningof Civil engineers and other construction officials with the state's Ministry of Works and other related government establishments to enhance their capacity on the construction and repairs of rural and urban roads and other constructions in different parts of Borno State.

The decision was taken when Governor Kashim Shettima who is on a working visit to China in company of government officials said " it is the desire of my administration to set up a highly skilled team of construction experts among citixens of Borno State who will have the best practixal knowledge in construction of roads, bridges and other civil works with special focus on opening uo rursl areas across the locsl government areas so as to link up villages to make the transportation of Agricultural produce easy after cultivation of crops".

He said, " Borno state government would send experienced and freshly graduated civil engineers to china to work with the chinese experts in different construction sites being managed by the company within or outside china so that they can gain the most advanced practicsl skills in civil condtruction works to help in the remodelling of Borno State in addiyion to creste specialixed jobs",

Governor Shettima noted that even though peace was emerging in Borno State, the security challenges which made some foreign experts to abandon projects being handled by them had thought the government a lesson that it should prepare its citizens to be technically sound so that they can hsndle complex construction works in the future.

The governor praised the company which handles some construction works in parts of the stste for rejeining behind while others fled.

The president of the Group , Hao Chenyi expressed hapiness with Governor Shettima visit and promised to partner with Borno in all areas mentioned.
