GOV OBI TO ICHIDA COMMUNITY,WE WILL PROVIDE OVER 400 BUSES TO SCHOOLS THIS YEAR

The Anambra State Government is to provide four hundred buses to schools across the State this year. Governor Peter Obi disclosed this during an interactive session with Ichida Stakeholders at the Palace of the traditional ruler, Igwe C.N Ezeudogu. Governor Obi said this was in line with efforts of his administration towards providing necessary logistics that will enhance teaching and learning in accordance with global best practices.


He charged communities to participate actively in the present efforts to transform the education sector to promote functional and qualitative education that will equip children properly for future competition as well as discourage them from crime and other anti-social activities.


The Governor commended the Ichida community for contributing in rehabilitating a secondary school in the area, urging others to emulate it, assuring that the State government will extend interventions to the area. Governor Obi expressed satisfaction that his government has restored civility in governance and has continued to attract donor agencies because of its clear vision, focus and definite plan on development.


The President General of the Town, Chief Kenneth Okafor said they embarked on the renovation of Community Secondary school, Ichida to compliment the efforts of the Governor in repositioning of education sector.
