Appeal Tribunal Declares ACN Winner Of Ikoyi/Obalende Polls

SAN FRANCISCO, January 31, (THEWILL) – In a dramatic twist of events, the Appeal Tribunal on Lagos Local Government polls Thursday upturned the ruling of the Election tribunal on Ikoyi/Obalende Local Council Development Area (LCDA) election, declaring Wale Adeniji of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) as the winner of the election which took place in October 2011.

The decision of the Appeal Tribunal however annuls the declarion the Lagos State Election Petition Tribunal which declared Ibrahim Obanikoro of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) winner of the elections in October 2012.
