You can now purchase a piece of martial arts legend Bruce Lee's childhood.

A handwritten and signed essay that Lee penned as a high school student in Hong Kong in the late 1950s is being auctioned off Thursday. Bidding begins at $5,000 for the essay, which shows his attempts to master the English language with multiple scratch-outs and penned-in corrections.

Lee wrote the paper, about the history of aviation, while he was a student at St. Francis Xaviar College in Hong Kong. It's one of the first known examples of his signature and handwriting.

Lee moved to the US to live with his sister shortly after this essay was written. He died in 1973 at the young age of 32.

Bidders will also be able to purchase other Lee memorabilia, including two membership cards from his first martial arts school in Seattle.

The essay is being auctioned off by Nate D. Sanders Auctions.
