Bibi – A Breath of Fresh Air in the Nigerian Music Industry!

In less than 12 hours of releasing her new singles ‘Jeje’ & ‘Endlessly’, both songs have been downloaded by over 6000 people with overwhelming feedback of support and acceptance for her music. She can be best described as a breath of fresh air at this critical time in the history of Nigerian music where everyone is struggling to get in the mix.

Bola Akinlaja, stage-named Bibi, is a 17 year old Lagos-based Nigerian Afro-soul Singer. She discovered her passion for singing right from childhood, but decided to go for professional music grooming about two years ago at the renowned Tenstrings Music Institute, where she was personally groomed by the school’s director (Akapo Emmanuel) in singing and general showmanship.

She’s an exceptionally talented singer and an electrifying performer with a very unique voice and style of music. Her music features the fusion of Soul, Afro, Pop and R&B. Her music has got so much depth that will leave you wondering ‘how does a 17 year old sound this strong and deep? One of the unique features of her music is the use of two or more live musical instruments in all of her recordings.
