Nigerian singer, Burna Boy is in the news again and this time, he talks about the way he views the buzzing Nigerian music industry which he says is “politically” motivated.

The singer in an interview with Fader Magazine after fellow Nigerian singer, Wizkid, had also granted the same medium interview, Burna Boy disclosed that he doesn't feel he is part of the industry.

The singer pointed that part of the reasons is that he does not get awards simply because some people who are in control of the industry do not like him.

He stated that he can't do what others are doing which totally makes him a bad politician and as such, will not follow the crowd but keep releasing good songs which makes his fan base to increase as the day goes by.

In his words, “It's political, man. To be honest I don't really feel like I'm a part of the industry. I don't get awards because the powers that be don't really like me. I'm not like everyone else, I won't do what everyone else does. They don't like it. Everything is really political and I'm not a very good politician. So I don't really involve myself in all that. I just drop hit songs, and my fan base keeps increasing.”
