About a week ago, it was reported that popular Nigerian comedian, Julius Agwu, made donations of live turkeys to some residents of the United States of America.

This was highly criticised by some Nigerians, who believed the comedian did not do the right thing. His critics claimed he should have made such donations to those at the IDP Camps in Nigeria.

Julius Agwu precisely made the gesture on November 18 to some uniform men and women who he says keep the neighborhood of Riverdale, Atlanta safe during the holiday season.

Speaking on behalf of the comedian, a representative, Bishop Adejugbe, said the there is no problem with the comedian's gesture so far he the main aim is to care for humanity.

Bishop Adejugbe told NET that, “This gesture is in line with the vision and mission of Julius Agwu Foundation Inc. worldwide with our motto being For God & Humanity. We chose to give back to a community that has been very supportive of our [Nigerian] community and businesses in the United States.

“This community is a home to probably the highest concentration of people of Nigerian descent in the State of Georgia, and it may also interest you to know that we have the only officially recognized Yoruba traditional ruler in the US HRM Oba Shola Akinrimsi the Oriade of Georgia with staff of office from the Mayor of Riverdale resides in the City of Riverdale.
