Tinubu, Tunde Kelani, 2face, Others for Nigerian OSCAR

Former Lagos State governor, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, veteran film-maker, Tunde Kelani and legendary musician, 2face Idibia have been listed among 15 Most Exceptional Nigerians (MEN) of 2015 by Oscar Nigeria, the organizer of the Nigerian OSCAR.

Talented and versatile fashion expert, Ejiro Amos-Tafiri also made the list and she prouds herself as the only woman for the honour.

The list, which included prominent figures as Femi Falana, Babajide Omoworare, and Oscar Onyema, was announced on the organization's official website http://www.oscarnigeria.org .

The list boasts fifteen categories: technology, business, media, law, humanitarian, fashion, music, movie, politics, public representation, public service, administrative leadership, advocacy, advertising, and its winners represent the three major ethnic groups of Nigeria.

Some of the distinguished Nigerians on the list are: Barr (Dr.) Taiwo Afolabi MON (entrepreneurship); Mrs Ejiro Amos-Tafiri (fashion); Dr. Dapo Majekodunmi (health); Alhaji Mohammed Mutiu Anthony (service to humanity); Alhaji Mohammed Lawal Aliyu (public service), Professor Okechukwu Ukwuoma (science & technology); Japheth Omojuwa (social activism/advocacy); Steve Babaeko (advertising); Sam Omatseye (media); and Babajide Omoworare (public representation).

Oscar Nigeria also detailed the selection process behind the list.

"We looked at Nigerians across fifteen different categories and meticulous attention was paid to nominees' performance, humility, youth empowerment and how much their influences is of benefit to the nation and humanity."
