Veteran Fuji singer, Pasuma, has pointed accusing fingers on Fuji music marketers as the brain behind the poor growth of Fuji music in Nigeria.

According to the singer, the Fuji part of entertainment has not record new artistes as a result of the fact that they are not allowed to have collaboration albums.

“We don't get to see new Fuji musicians coming out like before when there were quite a lot of them like Shanko Rashidi, Wasiu Container etc. It's because the marketers have stopped the Fuji musicians from doing collaboration albums," he said.

He stated that if it was possible to have such collaborations just like the hip hop genre, things would have gone down well and more Fuji stars will emanate.

"If we have been doing the collaboration thing, you will see new Fuji musicians coming out but we have been doing everything to ensure that they lift the ban on collaboration albums. The hip hop people have been helping themselves by doing collaboration. Nobody knew Phyno until he featured Olamide in 'Ghostmode'. If the young Fuji artistes are doing collaboration with the established ones, it will help their career a great deal,” he told Net.

Speaking about his new style of music which is pop, Pasuma explained that he has being doing pop for a long time and could proudly say he is one of those that actually started it stressing that as a musician, one should be able to diversify.
