‘St. Mary’ To Hit Cinemas May 22, Keppy Ekpeyong Lauds Movie Theme

One movie that is highly anticipated in Nigeria at the moment is 'St. Mary'. Apart from the galaxy of stars that partook in the flick, what has brought about this eagerness in Nigeria is its success when the film was premiered in London sometimes ago.

For those who were privileged to attend the glamorous screening at the Odeon Cinema in London, they unanimously confessed that 'St. Mary' is an advocacy movie of class.

The good news is that producers of the flick have decided to let Nigerians see the movie from Friday, May 22, 2015. On that day, venue of the premiere, Silverbird Galleria, Lagos, will experience an extraordinary ambience because some stars in the film as well as others in the movie industry in Nigeria will storm the event.

'St. Mary, a film by JBIS Integrated Resources Limited, was produced by Obi Anthony Osotule, Keppy Ekpeyong, Bassey Inyang and Darlington Agha.

It starred notable faces in Nollywood like Zack Orji, Toyin Alausa, Joseph Benjamin, Benita Nzeribe, Ibinabo Fiberesima, Paul Obazele, Sefiya Ibrahim, Caren Agwambo and Scott Roberts.

According to the director of the film, Matthias Obahiagbon, 'St. Mary' is scheduled to open at cinemas in America after a tour of few states in the United States of America (USA).

'St. Mary', a 110-minute film, centres on the negative implication of s3x and human trafficking.

Speaking on the flick, Bassey Inyang said, 'It is always a delight to be able to contribute to a cause and such is the issue of human trafficking. The St. Mary is an advocacy flick that I'm glad to be associated with and I can tell you that with projects like this, we can sensitize more people than you can imagine.'

On his part, CEO of JBIS Integrated Resources Limited, Darlington Agha said, 'Human trafficking is a worldwide phenomenon so it is not out of place to embark on a world tour with the movie so that people can learn from the narrative. So we will take it round and then hold a grand premiere in Nigeria where the movie was shot'.
