It is a common knowledge in Nigeria that some people could be so heartless to the extent of using their biological mother, who nurtured them from the pregnancy stage to adulthood, for money rituals.

To say some Nigerian artistes can do anything to promote their music is just stating the obvious truth.

When the time of dropping a single or album approaches, some Nigerian music acts deploy different means to create a controversy around themselves and just when people start talking about the issue, they announce their major plan.

On Monday, followers of the entertainment industry in Nigeria were woken to the news of the Instagram account of Oritsefemi allegedly hacked.

Hours later, he revealed the culprit of the act as one of his babymamas.

This news shocked his fans, who were divided over the revelation. While some were castigating alleged hacker, Blessing Rawa, others descended on the singer for embarrassing the mother of his child.

Late on Tuesday, the media team of Oritsefemi sent out a press release disclosing the release date for the singer's next album, which they said will happen in few days' time.

Nollywoodgists.com spoke to an associate of the singer, who confessed to us that the Instagram account hacking brouhaha was just a gimmick to stir a story around Oritsefemi ahead of his album release.

'You know how things run nah. Well, his album drops on May 1, 2015 and we thought of a way of bringing up something about him before that day,' the source told us.

It would be recalled that top artistes like P-Square and others have been accused of raising controversies ahead of the release of their albums or singles.

Oritsefemi's album, entitled Money Stops Nonsense (MSN), contains 25 tracks and it features D'Banj, Davido, Timaya, MI, Phyno, Oluwaseun, HKN Gang, Cynthia Morgan, Shatta Wale, Harrysong and others.

The likes of Puffy Tee, Obodo, Laylow, Fliptyce, CKayYor , OY Production, Sheyman, Indomix, Bmyne, Teepiano, Lahlah and Lordz Gabrielz worked in its production, while Obaino Music is billed to market it.

It is expected to be launched in Abuja, Delta and Lagos.
