In the early hours of Monday, April 20, 2015, some practitioners in the movie industry in Nigeria staged a peaceful walk against the scourge of piracy.

It would be recalled that in recent times, some people have pirated the movies of AY and Kunle Afolayan, '30 Days In Atlanta' and 'October 1' respectively. The two films have been sold by hawkers in Lagos traffics.

The furious practitioners in Nollywood took to the streets of Lagos to beg the government to do something promptly to arrest the menace, which they said could totally wreck the thriving industry.

The protesters started the walk from Ikeja under bridge and terminated it at the Lagos State seat of power in Alausa, Ikeja, where they were addressed by the Speaker of the House, who was represented and the state governor, Babatunde Raji Fashola.
