How Abuja-Based Musician Was Beaten By Soldiers

Abuja based media personality and gospel artiste, Rymsta Ray Ekwu, shared his horrible ordeal in the hands of men of the camouflage uniform of the Nigerian Army on Friday night because he wore camouflage shorts. He recounted how he beaten on the night after seeing of a friend.

The radio host shared the news on his social media page, Facebook, posting a picture of his wounded ear. He said he was slapped and beaten with belts by two soldiers who were dressed in mufti on his way back home.

The gospel artiste was thankful his ear was not ruptured and forgave the soldiers for treating him in such an inhumane manner as he has gotten stitches on the injuries and tears.

Meanwhile, agreeing that he was not expected to be adorning the scared camouflage shorts as a civilian, he however believed that his story would educate the civilians not to put on such. Also in the same vein, he wants the men of the Nigerian army to act as humanely possible when situations as such may present itself in the future.
