My Greatest Achievement So Far—D’Banj

Ten years ago, he came into the Nigerian music scene with a style so different and he never looked back. Dbanj is a happy man at the moment.

DB Records Chief Executive Officer and artiste, Dbanj has also been a performer going on to do international collaborations with the likes of Snoop Dogg and Akon.

He spoke with the Nigeria Tribune about his greatest achievement, citing the opportunity to speak at the World Summit because of the different audience he had to face.

He said, "Last year I gave a speech at the World Bank summit. That for me was different because it had nothing to do with music. Although I spoke briefly about music, my speech was mainly about the youths of my generation.

"And to be in that kind of gathering, to face such audience showed that I was not only an artiste, but also that I am capable of representing my generation. And that is the one thing I have always wanted to do: to be a good example for my generation."

He recent brought in American model, Amber Rose, as the highlight of his recent 10 years celebrations in Nigeria. He was a member of the defunct Mohits Records.
