With the Nigerian entertainment industry getting more competitive everyday, virtually every celebrity wants every piece of awards, endorsement and contracts.

Musicians, seems to be leading in the game of getting awesome financial deals and endorsements followed by Comedians, DJ's and OAP's. But few could be said about models.

In a recent chat with former Mr Nigeria, Deji Bakare, He has said that people in the Nigerian society look down on models which is not suppose to be so, because in other countries, models are well respected.

According to him, if the likes of Desmond Eliot could run for the position of house of Assembly, it means the clock is really ticking in the entertaining world and he has the believe that ''modeling would take over soon''.

Speaking further, Deji stressed that a lot of people think that modeling is all about catwalk. For him, modeling is beyond that, because people need to understand what it means before going into the business.

"After a lot of research, I have realized that a lot companies don't use upcoming artist for advert because they don't take very good care of themselves and they after money and don't want to maintain the one stand and they need to be enlighten." the multimedia specialist affirmed.

Before emerging Mr Nigeria 2011, he was said to belong to a rap group way back before music started in Nigeria and was into acting as he said.

The 32yr old, who just open up a modelling school, 'Deji Bakare Model Academy' also said that he will affiliate himself with agencies for his finish product by linking them with jobs and into the acting world.
