2015: Bukky Wright Fails To Grab SDP Ticket

Yoruba Nollywood actress has joined the league of entertainers to lose out in the political terrain.

Bukky lost the Social Democratic Party, SDP, ticket to vie for The House of Representative for the Abeokuta South Federal Constituency of Ogun State.

The actress who had nurtured hopes of picking up the ticket in the recent primary elections of the party, lost to a former aide of the state Governor, Ibikunle Amosun, Joseph Sopade, who recently from the All Progressive Congress, APC, to join Aremu Segun Osoba, in the SDP, so as to contest in the election in 2015.

With the loss, the talented actress joins the likes of actress Kate Henshaw, actor Kenneth Okonkwo, singers Kenny Saint Best, 9ice, Tony Tetuila, among others, as entertainers whose sojourn in the political world ended in a fiasco.© 2014Nollywoodgists.com
