Tanzanian Singer, Diamond Platnumz Wants United African Artistes

Tanzanian singer who is gradually winning the hearts of some Nigerian artistes and fans, Diamond Platnumz, has attacked some celebrities who have failed to promote national unity and promote international peace.

The singer who has featured Nigerian singing sensation, Davido on his track 'Number One,' and was recently featured by Nigeria's female singer, Waje on her current effort, 'Coco baby' which was shot in Tanzania, questioned the activities of artistes in Africa, urging them to stand up and defend their country rather than joining in the divide and rule syndrome.

Diamond Platnumz was tempted to say this after he reflected on the poor development of the African continent and his country which just celebrated its independence.

He writes thus, “Instead of artists being role models and agents of unity, bringing our countries together to build a strong, prosperous peaceful continent, Africa. We are the first to instigate hate and regionalism. In this manner are we really building Africa? What is our fate? Continuing divide and rule inherited from the colonial era... Anyway, Happy Independence day Tanzania.....
