Oga Bello Plans Big For His 50-years on stage

Veteran entertainer, Adebayo Salami popularly known as Oga Bello in the theater world is set to celebrate his illustrious 50 years sojourn as an actor and theater practitioner. Uniquely, Salami disclosed that the celebration is billed to attract all stakeholders of the theater industry with a special stage performance of a play titled 'Olooko Oba'.

Interestingly, according to Salami, the stage performance will feature renowned artiste of his generation as well as a couple of up and coming artistes including his children who have all also carved a niche for themselves in the industry. “Besides the stage performance, there is also going to be a documentary presentation on my personal and professional antecedents, a command performance by my protégés and an unveiling of the best of my artistic works”. Giving reasons for the stage performance, Salami explained that the event scheduled for December 10 at the prestigious MUSON center, amongst other motives aims at rekindling the element of stage performances as well as create a sustainable platform towards revisiting the stage sector of Nigeria's theater industry.
