We Need Structure for The Music Industry……..Singer, Illbliss

Tobechukwu Melvin Ejiofor, popularly known by his stage name Illbliss, has hipped praises on the vast growth experienced in the Nigerian rap industry recently.

The rapper who has been making wave with some new releases, noted that rap music has gradually become an ethnic thing as artistes now rap in their local dialect with the likes of Phyno, Olamide, Reminice and others representing the industry well.

The business man and owner of the managing outfit 'The Gorretii Company,' same company responsible for Chidinma and Phyno, among others, stated that the music industry is actually growing especially rap, but faced with challenge of poor structure.

Illbliss explained that for the industry to step up its game just the foreign music industry, there is need to put proper structure in place which will enable the artiste derive more pleasure in whatever they are doing, adding that he is happy as being part of the revolution in the rap industry.

Also known as Oga Boss, Ejiofor was a member of the now defunct Hip Hop Group - Da Thorobreds. The group, consisting of other notable hip hop artistes like Elajoe, Obiwon , Amaka and B- Elect, copped the award for the Best HipHop song by a group/duo at the 2006 edition of Hip Hop World Awards for the massive radio hit "Streethop".

Asides being signed to Capital Hill Records with Chidinma and Tha Suspect, Ejiofor is also a managing partner at Capital Dreams Pictures, which he runs with multi-talented and award winning videographer, Clarence Peters.
