Awards Have Exposed Me To Many Things—Tope Tadela

Nollywood actor, Temitope Christopher, popularly known as Tope Tedela was a relatively unknown face in Nollywood until he beat several established names in the industry to emerge as the Best Actor in a drama at the 2014 Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCA).

Well, that seems to be the turning point for the Mass Communications graduate of the University of Lagos, as he has in a couple of months grabbed other notable awards; Nigeria Entertainment Awards (NEA) Best Actor, Best of Nollywood Awards, Express Star Awards, and the just concluded Nollywood Movies Awards where he bagged Best Rising Star (Male) for his role in the movie 'A Mile From Home.'

The visibly excited budding act gushed out his feeling to Nollywoodgists.com.

"I feel deeply honoured by it all. I hope to continue to work smart and hard. And I pray my efforts are crowned with continual success!

“I hope I can consistently do great projects that take us (Nollywood) a notch closer to where we all aspire to be as an industry.

“I hope I can leave the world better than I met it through my gifts. I just wish to change the world into a better place. Deep inside me, I feel I have something unique to offer the world. So, I stay in my lane. working to be the best I can be.

”It has been a wonderful experience. And it has exposed me to a lot of people and more opportunities. I will say my career has taken a turn for the better since the awards started coming in."

Tedela is a Nigerian actor, voice-over artist and broadcaster who gained recognition for portraying Julian on the television series Edge of Paradise. He is gradually carving an niche for himself in the Nigerian entertainment industry.
