Tinubu’s Minister Dissolves National Steel Council Board

Shuaibu Abubakar Audu, the Minister of Steel Development, has dissolved the Board of the National Steel Council with immediate effect, ordering the Board to stop involving in any function in the name of the Council.

In a signed letter, which was addressed to the Executive Secretary of the Council, Audu reasserted the dissolution of the board in line with the command of President Bola Tinubu which was issued through the office of the Secretary General of the Federation on 16th June, 2023.

According to Prince Audu, he said the Presidential directive have dissolved all the Federal Government parastatals, agencies, Instutions, and Government owned Company exempting those listed on the Third Schedule Part 1 Section 153(1) of the 1999 constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

He stated further that the dissolution of the board took effect since 16th June 2023, till the President constitutes a new board for the council.
