Popular Nigerian social media commentator and life coach, Solomon Buchi, has reacted to the economic hardship of Nigeria and has given the youths advise on how to sail through.

The social media commentator made this known on his social media handles, where he stated that youths should live with their parents before they get married, save their income, contribute to some bills at home and they will be able to survive the economic hardship in their 20’s

He wrote;
“Live with your parents till you marry. The current economy is designed to make you skint as a working-class professional. Live with your parents, but save your income; contribute to some home bills, but save a huge chunk of your salary. This is the fastest way to afford a mortgage down payment in your early-mid 20’s or to save up to start a business. You’ll sacrifice some privacy—no friends' sleepover at yours, no late-night wild house parties, but it will be worth it. You may not realize how valid this perspective is until you live alone, and can barely save to buy a house.

This advice doesn’t apply to people with toxic and abusive parents. Leave ASAP. It’s always best to have a long-distance relationship with many African parents, but if you can tolerate your parent’s excesses, please do; if you can’t, leave to live another day.”
